Hi, I’m Kayla.
I began my photo journey as a little girl who loved cheap little polaroid cameras at Walmart. I have so many little photo books of those little prints you turn in when you’ve finally filled the roll. My middle school self was thriving on those cameras.
In college I studied to be a marriage and family therapist, and during grad school I picked up a big girl camera and started a little hobby.
That hobby turned into a side hustle which then turned into a career, which led me to say goodbye to grad school and follow God’s calling into the unknown.
My first wedding was in 2020, and I’ve studied the craft of storytelling on a wedding day and within the journey of two people who have fallen in love ever since.
To be honest, it was seeing my grandparent’s love story that began in the Philippines and landed in the states for a forever yes my grandma gave my grandpa. Their little jokes, picking on one another, and hidden grins are moments I wish I could have documented to smile at, cry with, and remember deeper than what my mind can hold onto.
At the end of the day I am here to take photos, but really I’m here to serve God and love people within my industry. Whether it’s my clients, fellow photographers, or vendors I get to meet. All glory goes to Jesus in all I do.
Thank you for being here and supporting the call the Lord has on my life.
xx Kayla

I became a Christian 9 years ago, and before that I was an atheist. My faith is what ignites everything I do. I didn’t grow up in a Church family, so I understand so many perspectives of faith or the lack of.
Being a Christian photographer means that I’m committed to managing this business or Jesus, not just asking him to bless it as I run it.
I am dedicated to serving you purposely and respecting every person who wants to work with me, regardless of their faith.
I plan to capture you the way the Lord sees you. Full of love, purpose, and joy.

The walking dead. I know, it’s a little ridiculous but I got hooked in high school and I’ve been a fan ever since. I could rewatch forever.
Coffee, I’m a straight up addict. It started when I was drinking coffee with my papa as a kid (90% milk back then haha)
I’m a book fanatic! I’m a straight up Frieda Mcfadden girly. I live for the suspense, mystery, and psychological thrillers!! I share a ton of my reads online too!My church is home to me! I serve in missions, youth, and my husband and I lead a “young & married” lifegroup every week. Ministry lights me up inside :)
Travelingkeeps me sane. I’ve been to 6 countries, and between me and you Costa Rica is the most beautiful country in the world.

Emmanuel and I have been married since June 4, 2021!
We met in college through a campus ministry, became best friends, then eventually fell in love. He’s my best friend, my protector, biggest supporter, and genuinely the funniest person I know haha
Oh, he’s also made me a military and state trooper wife! I am honored to have such an incredible man to call my husband.
We welcomed our son into the world on March 19, 2025 and our family is the greatest story I’ve lived yet. God is so good.

I’m all about capturing the heart and soul of real stories.
With KJP, every session is rooted in genuine connection filled with laughter, ease, and moments that feel true to who you are. By taking the time to know you, I’m able to create imagery that reflects your story in a way that feels natural, creative, and deeply personal.
Rooted in faith, my approach is grounded in authenticity and intention. Each moment behind my lens is guided by care, warmth, and an appreciation for the emotions that make your story meaningful. I’m here as a calm, down to earth presence, creating space for you to be fully yourself while documenting memories that feel timeless.
Photography, for me, is more than images. It’s a calling. It’s about preserving connection, celebrating love in every season, and creating photographs that hold meaning long after the moment has passed. Let’s build something genuine together and tell your story in a way that feels honest and lasting!
